Which cpu should I buy?

I currently have the E6550 cpu but it seems to bottleneck my new HD4870 in games like crysis , gta IV etc,and friend told me I can get much more FPS outta my video card, so I'm thinking about the Q6600 'cause it has a great potential for overclocking and it has 4 cores for the upcoming games , but Intel wants to get rid of all those 65nm processor which makes it hard to get it , instead of it , there's the Q8200 with 2.33 Ghz and 1333 FSB and 4 MB , this specs is very similar to my E65500 ignoring the 4 cores and the 45nm , but in the Core 2 Duo family the E8400 has ~ 3 ghz without overclocking, but it has only 2 cores and the Q6600 could reach to that clock speed and also has 4 cores for the upcoming games that take more advantage in the multi core processors
