Why must i get threatened with "hell" for everything about christianity for example (not believing in jesus)?

how the hell am i suppose to believe in a man i never saw and deserve eternal sufforing for not beliving in him? i believe in god but im so sick of being threatened with hell for everything that im starting to think its a crock of ****
