NBA: Michael Jordan or Wilt Chamberlain?
I agree 100% with you. Both played in very different eras. Although both were amazing players, they did have advantages and disadvantages to their game. Wilt had height advantage over everyone during his time and you could see why he would dominate the entire game. Jordan faced teams that were all about defense and he still managed to average 30 ppg against them. Michael Jordan was the best leader we will ever seen on a basketball court. Let's say we switch these players' time periods. Wilt Chamberlain, like you said, would probably be nothing more than a 20 10 guy, which is still great, but not as good as what he would be in his original time period. If a 6'6'' Michael Jordan played during Wilt's actual time, he probably would play the power forward/center position (6'6'' you stated was the average right?), you would have a hybrid of 60 points per game and 20 rebounds per game. Jordan would completely dominate all the slower 6'6'' pf/c by either shooting the 3 or driving in.
