Is this a dumb way to ask someone?(teen guys your opinions would be appreciated)?

I'masking thins guy to a sadie hawkins dance I was thinking I would ask him by giving him a giant hersey kiss and writing on the little slip of paper saying will you go to the dance with me. does that sound dumb he is 16 btw.
